updates
It has been awhile since we last updated the blog. Alley and Claire were with their grandparents at home for the week - while Rob and I took a trip to Hawaii for a wedding. Alley I am sure had them wrapped around her finger- but she seemed very excited when we got home. We brought them both grass skirts. She doesn't seem real interested in it now - but someday I am sure they will enjoy dressing up in them.
Actually, Alley didn't even want to dress up for Halloween. We were on our trip - but the Grandparents took Alley and Claire to a few houses in the neighborhood and to a party during the week at daycare. I guess she thought her giraffe outfit (that we borrowed from Mason) was too hot. On Halloween night, she wasn't feeling well - so she just wore a bear mask (that Grandpa Alley gave her) on her head - not even over her eyes. Oh well - I know she still loved the candy.
Alley is fully potty trained and is doing very well with it. She is very excited to show you her underwear at any time - even while you are out to eat at a restaurant.
She also got invited to her first birthday party at ChuckECheese. What chaos! Her friend Mikey from daycare turned 3 - so we joined them for pizza and cake. She was a little overwhelmed by all the noise and games - along with her parents.

Erik was pretty ambivalent about dressing up for Halloween, too. He would have run screaming from the mask though.
I must say I loathe Chuck E. Cheese. Our neighbor boy is having his party at Pump It Up and I fear a similar level of chaos.
