Fuel for the Climb

Alley likes a challenge - so she climbs the long stair case as often as she can. She still is not the best at going down though. So when she is upstairs we lock her in with the baby gate.

Alley also has been eating a lot more lately. Tonight she even ordered her first meal at Applebee's - chicken fingers and applesauce. She ate quite a bit of it. I have a feeling Rob and I are going to get to know all the children's menus and where to go soon.

Daycare has been much more adventurous than we have when it comes to food. She is given bean burritos, chicken nuggets, turkey sandwiches, muffins, and french toast sticks there. She apparently eats them all up. She certainly is getting use to it, as she is now turning away from plain old baby food.

Feeling Better

Alley has been under the weather this week with a cough and runny nose. She then developed a fever and was very clingy which was unusual for her. We finally took her in and she has a ear infections in both ears. So she got her first script for antibiotics and she seems to be feeling a little better.

Maybe she got it when she was playing in the dog's water bowel - realizing that she could splash the water there just like her bath water ( She was actually sick before this and I couldn't help but take a picture, then I made her quit)

At the top, there she is feeling better and taking her red Corvette for a spin.

Play date

Alley hosting a play date with Erik and Brooke this past week. She served raisons and let them play with her Christmas Weebles.

New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve we went over to a couple's house that we had met in our ECFE class. Many of the couples and their babies were at the party, as we were all in the same boat - unable to really go out without a babysitter and on top of it most of our kids are in bed by 7 or 8 pm. So some of us brought our pack and plays and put our kids to sleep, as the adults rang in the new year.
