Alley and Claire

Alley and Claire were working on a card for Grandpa Alley. It was recently his birthday and he came down to help out Rob while I was away for the weekend. Alley and Claire have actually gotten to see all her grandparent's lately - as Grandma Erlys helped out while Rob was on a business trip and Charlie and Helen came for a day also.
Alley is making sure that Claire has plenty of ducks for her bath. Alley usually likes to take a shower - but still manages to bring ducks in with her and play with them.
We are proud of Alley - because she now wears underwear - finally using the potty consistently - but we still have to remind her to go.
She seems to be saying the funniest things lately - like tonight - "I'm not a doctor yet" - just out of the blue. Or "can we watch the olympics tonight?" Last weekend - she kept asking "what does that mean?" - I asked what she was talking about it - and she told me that "she was talking to daddy."
Alley wants to type a little - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa00000000000000000000000000000000000000---------------------------------------------rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm0kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Apples and Raspberries

Alley, Claire, Rob and I went apple picking last weekend. We were disappointed that all the Honeycrisps were gone - but we found that Fireside apples were quite tasty too.
We decided that we only needed so many apples - so we picked raspberries too. There was a frost sale - so we picked a ton and ate a ton as we picked. There were a lot of white raspberries left - which are actually kind-of pink - but they're a variety I have never had - a little milder tasting.

It was a beautiful day and we'll have to make this an annual tradition.
Otherwise, Alley is really liking her preschool room and progressing some in the potty training department. In preschool they are working hard on letters and I was surprised to hear Alley ask what letter something starts with already. She's curious about letters - but really only knows A - for Alley of course.
