Serving Lemonade

Alley had the idea of selling lemonade at Back to a school night. Their service club planted herbs to spritz lemonade in front of the school last year. So she cut some herbs and had them available for people to try. Glasses were 25 cents and she made $71. She decided to donate half to the school and half to cancer research, all the teachers were impressed and the superintendent of schools even came to meet her.

I think Alley would have ridden horse back the entire time we were in the Black Hills if we would have let her. Though I do not think the rest of our back sides would have taken it.

The Duck boats were a relaxing distraction from the water parks in the Dells. Except they got a little wet as the sat in the last row and wave came over the back of the boat.

Miss Competitive

Alley felt the Boys Scout ropes course was a piece of cake. As soon as she was finished she bragged how she was better than the boys on the course. She is competitive and doesn't lack confidence.

Do it yourself project

Home Depot sponsored a kids workshop at the Fair - Rob dressed in Fair stuffed animals helped out Claire and Alley.
Claire made a flower holder and Alley made a bird feeder.

Weather Girls at the Fair

We spent a hot sweaty day at the state fair. We watched a live broadcast of the morning show on Kare 11. They had baby animals and 2 cute weather girls. The girls had to describe the weather for their day then state their name and where they are from - I think Claire got nervous and she said USA

Alley has guts

Alley doesn't lack guts- she went on the Skyscraper ride at Wisconsin Dells. Her mom chickened out - so she went with Nicole who did not find it as fun.

Alley did go on Hades 360 roller coaster as well and loved it - the snapshot taken on the ride showed her mom almost crying while Alley was thrilled.
